Tear Drop TD 411 Putter review

This is the TD411 putter with rolled face technology (RFT) and Dynamic Loft Technology (DLT). It's 34 inches long.

The milled face wasn't perfect but it didn't seem to affect the performance of the putter.

Here is the # of putting trends that I have been keeping since beginning of this year.

In the chart above, I normalized the # of putts per 18 holes. The last 3 scores were on the Las Positas Executive 9 hole course.

Today, I had 19 total putts on a 9 hole game which matches my average so far since I started tracking the putting. Overall, I shot a 42 on a par 31 course.

I am amazed how well it controls the distance as this is the first time I used the putter without actually using it on the practice green before teeing off. The distance control is definitely better than the Spalding Putter that I have been using for years. I had more sub 3 feet 2nd putts that I can remembered.

Overall, I like the distance control that the putter is giving me so far. I will keep it in my bag until I find out otherwise.

I like the way you keep track of things... You should be doing research type of work.

Questions:
1. Do you feel head heavy thus distance control is easier?
2. Is the response crisp or soft like butter?
3. How difficult is it for alignment?

Answer:
1) The head is heavier than my previous putter but I don't think it's the heaviest of all putters I have seen. This heavier putter does help me in distance control as I tend to use too much arm/hand in a long putt using the lighter putter.
2) I compare it side by side with the Scotty Cameron and didn't feel a difference. It's very close to the crispness and softness on the scotty cameron if not the same, within my ability to differ.
3)It's not difficult at all. I didn't have to change the way I align when I turned to this putter.

I did a few putt with KH's TD putter, it has some weight and it feels quite crisp. For only $20, not a bad deal!
